• These are 8 products from Uttar Pradesh which have been given GI (Geographical Indication) Tag.

Environment Ministry gives final nod to ‘Kalaignar Pen Monument’

• The Union Ministry of Environment has given Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance to construct the Dr. Kalaignar pen monument in Bay of Bengal, in Chennai.

• The Odisha Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has given approval for an increased budget of Rs. 4224.22 Crore for the ABADHA Scheme.
• ABADHA stands for ‘Augmentation Basic Amenities and Development of Heritage and Architecture’. The scheme aims to transform Puri into a world-class heritage city, focusing on preserving and rejuvenating its cultural and architectural heritage.

Canara Bank became the first public sector bank in India to allow payments to merchants through credit cards.

• Canara Bank has become the first public sector bank in India that has allowed UPI (Unified Payment Interface) Merchant Payments through Credit Cards.

According to S&P India’s GDP Growth Rate is going to be  6%.

• According to S&P Global Ratings, India’s GDP Growth Rate is going to be 6% in the Financial Year 2024.
