Daily Schedule & Activities of NDA Cadets

National Defence Academy is the prestigious defence academy that trains Cadets who are going to be officers in Army, Navy, and Airforce. National Defence Academy is known for imparting the highest level of military training to Cadets. National Defence Academy is the first military academy in the world that trains cadets from all three wings of the Armed Forces i.e. Army, Navy, and Airforce. National Defence Academy is the premier defence academy in India and a dream of millions of aspirants. National Defence Academy trains future officers of the Indian Armed Forces and makes them ready to serve our country. This is the daily schedule of every gentleman and lady cadet at the National Defence Academy. This schedule is deliberately made very tiresome and laborious so that candidates can get accustomed to the laborious and hardworking life of the Indian Armed Forces. National Defence Academy allocates proper time for sports and other non-academic activities such as debate and other cultural activities.

 

Activities by Cadets at National Defence Academy

There are 18 Squadrons: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, Hunter, India, Juliet, Kilo, Lima, Mike, November, Oscar, Panther, Quebec, and Romeo. Each Squadron has around 100-120 Cadets. After arriving at National Defence Academy, Cadets are allotted their respective Squadrons and this squadron becomes their identity. Cadets represent their Squadrons in sports and various other activities. At the National Defence Academy you will get to learn about so many activities such as Football, Hockey, Horse Pollo, Horse Riding, Boxing, etc.

 

NDA Ball Party

NDA Ball Party is the second last but one of the favourite events at the National Defence Academy. In this event, Cadets can invite their partners and dance with them. Ball Party is organized two weeks before the passing out ceremony and this event marks the culmination of hard training at the National Defence Academy. During the Ball Party, Cadets, and all the Officers wear ceremonial uniforms and dance on musical tunes.

How can you join the National Defence Academy?

You can join the National Defence Academy by giving a national-level defence exam which is conducted by the Union Public Service of India twice a year. This exam is conducted in two stages. In the first stage, an MCQ-based exam is conducted which includes questions from mathematics, English, history, geography, polity, and current affairs. Any 12th passed or appearing candidates can appear in this exam.

  • Army- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education

  • Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  • Air Force- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education

                                 Or

  • Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
