Indian Military Academy Spring Term Passing Out Parade 2023 Ceremony
In an atmosphere of passion, dedication, bravery, and unmatched leadership, a total of 373 cadets will now become an officer which was their forever dream. The passing out parade at the Indian Military Academy is a grand and momentous event that marks the culmination of rigorous training of 1.5 years. Today, these 374 cadets will march smartly on the parade ground of the Indian Military Academy singing ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’ and ‘Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja’ and cross ‘Antim Pag अंतिम पग’. Today, These young cadets will become lieutenants, the starting rank of officers in the Indian Army. Today is a great day for the Parents of these cadets also because their parents will unveil the stars of these cadets showcasing their sacrifice towards our country.

IMA Spring Term POP 2023
Today, In this passing out parade ceremony, 374 cadets including 42 foreign cadets from friendly countries will march on the parade ground of the Indian Military Academy which is the dream academy of most defence aspirants. In this passing-out parade ceremony, cadets will salute the chief guest of this passing-out parade ceremony, Chief of Air Staff Manoj Pandey. In this passing out parade ceremony, a Maximum of 63 cadets are from Uttar Pradesh only like every year.
IMA POP 2023 Sword of Honour
Son of Army Brigadier Cadet Mihir Banerjee was awarded the Sword of Honour for being the best cadet in IMA POP 2023. He loves to play basketball and listen to music. He hails from West Bengal.

Indian Military Academy
The Indian Military Academy (IMA) is a premier training institution for officers in the Indian Army. Situated in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The Indian Military Academy is known for its rigorous and comprehensive training programs. Cadets undergo a demanding curriculum that covers various aspects of military science, leadership development, physical fitness, and academic education. Cadets also undergo rigorous outdoor training exercises in the surrounding hills and forests. These exercises test their endurance, survival skills, and ability to operate in challenging terrains.
Indian Military Academy has produced some of the finest military leaders in India like Captain Manoj Pandey, Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, CDS Vipin Rawat, Brigadier Saurabh Singh Shekhawat, and many others. Indian Military Academy has 17 Ashok Chakra Winners, 84 Maha Vir Chakra Winners, and 41 Kirti Chakra Awardees. The motto of the Indian Military is ‘Veera Aur Vivek वीरता और विवेक’ . The Indian Military was inaugurated by Sir Philip Chetwoode, who had coined the Chetwood motto.
