Jal Jeevan Mission Achieves Milestone Of 12 Crore Tap Water Connections.

• Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) celebrates a new milestone of ensuring safe and clean drinking water through taps to more than 12 Crore rural households of the country.
• 5 States (Goa, Telangana, Haryana, Gujarat, and Punjab) and 3 UTs (Puducherry, D&D and D&NH, and A&N Islands), have reported 100% coverage.

Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw launches Sanchar Saathi portal.

• Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Communications, Railways, and Electronics & IT, launched the Sanchar Saathi portal.
• To protect users, the Department of Telecom has developed a citizen-centric portal named Sanchar Saathi.
• Sanchar Sathi allows citizens to Check the connections registered in their names, Block the mobile phones which are stolen/lost.

Kerala becomes the first state in India to launch a welfare fund for MGNREGA Workers.

• Kerala has become the first state in India to launch a welfare fund for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
• This fund will be based on Kerala Employment Guarantee Workers’ Welfare Fund.
• Under this scheme, MGNREGA workers will contribute 50 Rupees per month and the government will deposit the same amount.

• Amy Pope has become the first woman to head the International Organization for Migration which is a body of the United Nations.

Vast and SpaceX have partnered to launch a space station by 2025.

• Vast and SpaceX have partnered to launch a space station named Haven-1 using Falcon-9 Rockets.

Ravneet Kaur has been appointed as Chairman of the Competition Commission of India.

• Ravneet Kaur is an IAS Officer belonging to Punjab Cadre. She has been appointed chairperson of the competition commission of India for a period of 5 years.
• The Competition Commission of India is a statutory body under the Ministry of corporate affairs.

Anil Kumar Jain has been appointed as Chairman of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board.

• The appointment committee of the cabinet, has appointed Anil Kumar Jain as the chairman of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board.

Manoj Soni becomes the Chairman of UPSC.

• Dr. Manoj Soni on Tuesday was sworn in as the new UPSC Chairman. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy as UPSC Chairman by Smita Nagaraj. Dr. Manoj Soni has a record of becoming the youngest-ever vice-chancellor in India.
