India announces plans to fence India-Myanmar Border.

• Home Minister Amit Shah has decided to plan to implement a border fencing project along the India-Myanmar Border.
• The Home Minister took this decision after reporting serious intrusions along the border regions of Myanmar.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has unveiled Major Border Projects.

• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during a recent event, emphasized the pivotal role played by residents living near the borders in serving the nation.
• The occasion marked the inauguration of 35 projects, including 29 bridges and six roads, constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across seven states and union territories, with a total cost of ₹670 crore.

Ministry of Agriculture releases third advance estimate for Horticulture Crops.

• According to the third advance estimate for 2022-23, Horticulture production has risen by 2.32%.
• Total Horticulture Production is estimated to be 355.25 million tonnes.
• The total Area under Horticulture Crops has risen to 28.34 Million Hectares.
