Chandrayaan-3 successfully launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre.

• India’s third moon mission, Chandrayaan-3 successfully launched from Satish Dhawan Space Application Centre, Sriharikota.
• Chandrayaan­3 will orbit the earth 5­6 times in an elliptical cycle coming as close as 170 km and going as far as 36,500 km before it moves towards the lunar orbit in a slingshot maneuver.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour by the French President.

• Emanuel Macron, the French President awarded Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour.

Exports fell by 22% in the month of June.

• Import fell by 22% in the month of June to $32.97 billion.

• This fall occurred mainly due to a fall in the import of gold, jewelry, and petroleum products.

India bags 11 medals in World Archery Youth Championships, 2023.

• India has secured the second position in the World Archery Youth Championships, 2023 held from July 3-9 in Ireland by winning the maximum number of 11 medals.

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been appointed as Captain of the Indian Cricket Team Asian Games.
