G-20 or Group of 20

Mission Chandrayaan-3

India has become the 1st country in the world after the Indian moon mission, Chandrayaan-3 has successfully landed on the southern pole of the moon. Mission Chandrayaan-3 is a lunar mission launched by the Indian Space Agency ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) to land its rover on the southern pole of the Moon to conduct scientific tests. Learning the failure of India’s previous moon mission, ISRO had made several changes in its lander. Chandrayaan-3 was developed more solid than its previous version that’s why it became a little heavier also. Chandrayaan-3 consistted of Lander and Rover. The name of the lander of the lander is Vikram and the name of the rover is Pragyaan. Pragyaan will conduct several tests through its Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) and a Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) to study elements present on the moon's surface. After the success of, mission Chandrayaan-3 Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the landing site of the lander Vikram would be known as Shiv Shakti Point.

Mission Aditya L-1

India has successfully launched its first solar observatory mission. Aditya L1 Mission was launched by PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) C57 Rocket. This PSLV C-57 will place Aditya L1 at a distance of 1.5 lakh km from the earth which is also known as ‘L1 or Lagrangian point 1 (L1) ’. Aditya L1 will take approximately 125 days to reach at L1 Orbit. The primary objective of the Aditya L1 Mission is to study the solar corona, photosphere, chromosphere, and solar wind. To carry out its operations, Aditya L1 will carry a total of seven payloads which include Visible Emission Line Coronagraph (VELC), Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (SUIT), Solar Low Energy X-ray Spectrometer (SoLEXS), High Energy L1 Orbiting X-ray Spectrometer (HEL1OS), Aditya Solar wind Particle Experiment (ASPEX), Plasma Analyser Package For Aditya (PAPA). Aditya L1 Mission is very important for India because it will help our scientists to study solar storms that disturb our communication system and create problems for us.

One Nation One Election

Recently, the Government has constituted a committee under the leadership of former president Ram Nath Kovind to review the idea of a One Nation One Election. Under the One Nation One Election, Elections will be conducted simultaneously on both the national level and the state level. In India, we follow a federal system of government, so elections are conducted at both the national level and state level. Elections are conducted at the national level to elect the central government and assembly elections in the state are conducted to elect the state government. But conducting separate elections costs a huge amount of money and during elections, organizations have to remain closed which is not good for the economy also. One nation one election will allow the government to save money in conducting elections and make it easy for people to join the election process. One nation one election will allow the formation of government at both levels at the same time which will help in continuing the same set of policies. So, there are considerable benefits to idea of a one-nation one-one-election system. But, it poses some challenges also. India is primarily a federal country which means there is government at both the national level and state level, so people will focus on national issues only under one nation one election system and somewhere local issues will be sidelined. So, the One Nation One election is serious and must be implemented after thorough consultation with all stakeholders.

Artificial Intelligence: Boon or Curse

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a technology that has both positive and negative aspects, like a double-edged sword. It can be a boon or a curse depending on how it's used. On the positive side, AI has made our lives easier and more convenient. It helps us in many ways, like in our smartphones, self-driving cars, and virtual assistants like Siri or Alexa. AI can process large amounts of data quickly, which can be helpful in medical research, weather forecasting, and even in solving complex problems. However, there are concerns about AI. One major worry is job displacement, as AI and automation can replace some human jobs. It's also important to ensure that AI systems are used ethically and responsibly, without bias or discrimination. In some cases, AI can be used for harmful purposes, like creating deepfake videos or cyberattacks. So, it's crucial to have rules and regulations in place to prevent misuse.
