What is SSB Interview?

We are talking about 5-days intense selection procedure that assesses the candidates for becoming officers in the Indian Armed Forces. Using a standardized protocol of evaluation system which constitutes of personality, intelligence tests and interviews.

The tests are of both types i.e. written and practical task-based

5- days selection process involves:

Stage I:

Screening- Preliminary stage includes verbal and non-verbal tests

Stage II:

Psychology Tests- Compromises four main tests: Thematic Association Test (TAT), Word Association Test (WAT), Situation Reaction Test (SRT), Self Descriptive Test (SD)

GTO- Compromises total of nine tasks: Group Discussion (GD), Group/Military Planning Exercise (GPE or MPE), Progressive Group Task (PGT), Snake Race/Group Obstacle Race, Individual Lecturette (IO), Half Group Task (HGT), Individual Obstacle, Final Group Task (FGT)

Personal Interview- involves purposeful conversation between the candidates and Interviewing Officers for about 50 to 60 minutes.

Conference- The final recommendation is announced on this day.

Based on the above procedure candidates are shortlisted for Medical Examination where the complete bodily examination is carried out on military fronts for final selection.

On basis of Medical Examination result the final Merit List is released that consist names of the candidates who finally made it to the designated entry.

Technical Entry Scheme

Duration of Training	1 year training to be held in IMA, Dehradun (earlier OTA Gaya) After completion of 1st year training, 3 years training in CME Pune, MCTE Mhow, MCEME Secunderabad Candidates successful in 3 years training will receive Engineering degree and Lieutenant rank The last 5th year training is Post Commissioning Training for 1 year in CME Pune, MCTE Mhow, MCEME Secunderabad

Technical Graduate Course

Age	20 to 27 years (as on the first day of the month in which is due to commence)
Qualification	Final year/ have completed B.E and B.Tech ( subject to eligibility of a particular stream)

Note: One year ante date seniority from the date of commission will be granted to Engineering Graduates of TGC Entry

Short Service Commission- Technical
