NDA & NA Exam which is also known as National Defence Academy and Naval Academy exam is a national-level defence exam which is conducted by the union public service commission. 12th passed or appearing candidates between the ages of 16.5 to 19.5 years can apply for this exam. As you all must be aware that after passing the 10th class, students have to choose a subject group. Students have to choose either Commerce, Arts, Science with Biology, or Science with Mathematics. NDA Exam

NDA and NA exam is conducted by the Union Public Service of India twice a year and any 12th-passed or appearing candidate can apply for this exam. This exam is conducted in two stages, in the first stage a written exam is conducted which comprises two papers. The first paper in the NDA exam is mathematics and the other paper is GAT (general ability test). The next stage in this exam is the SSB Interview. SSB Interview is a selection process of five days which includes many tests such as PPDT, TAT, WAT, and SRT. After passing these two stages, candidates are trained at National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy for 3 years.

Which subject to choose after the 10th for NDA?

NDA&NA exam is conducted for 3 different services i.e. Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force. For the Indian Airforce and Indian Navy, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are required as Subjects in the 11th and 12th Class, and for Indian Army, a candidate from any subject background can join NDA. So, If any candidate is confused about what subject he/she should choose after the 10th class, then Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the best as per exam pattern and eligibility of the NDA exam.

The Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subject group is the best subject group for the NDA exam because by taking this subject group, candidates will be able to be eligible for all three services that are Indian Army, Indian Airforce, and Indian Army. There is another reason to join PCM as your subject group and the reason is that mathematics which is the second paper of the NDA exam can be done easily if anyone is from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics group. In the NDA exam, almost all the questions are from the syllabus of the 11th and 12th class only, so if the candidate has maths in the 11th and 12th class, he will be able to solve questions of mathematics paper easily. Science is also another major area of the NDA exam, by taking science as a subject, candidates will cover a major portion of the NDA exam that is science.
