MEDICAL CRITERIA FOR AIR FORCE X AND Y GROUP : AN ABRIDGED SKETCH

Well this time, I urge you to get out of academics and get some know- how of the medical standards of Air Force because without it even academics can’t save you. So below is the medical criterion for Air Force X and Y group especially summarised for those who believe in complete preparation:
COMMON PREREQUISITE:
- An honourable board named AFCME will conduct the medical examination, or in some cases IAM may also conduct the exam.
Points to be noted:
- Minimum height must be 152.5 cm
- 5 cm is the minimum chest expansion rate
- Weight must be in proportion to height and weight. For complete list check the official website
- Minimum 14 dental points are required+ teeth should be in healthy condition
- Good hearing along with the ability to hear whisper from 6 metres is demanded
- Abdomen muscles must be properly developed
- Fairly normal blood pressure
- X- ray chest is mandatory
DONT’S
- No history of corneal surgery (PRK/ LASIK)
- No symptom of any sort of skin infection, acute or chronic ailment, surgical disability or loss of appendages.
- No spleen or liver enlargement
- No history of fits or mental breakdown
- No bone issue
- No un- operated hernia
- No hydrocele or piles
- No granulomatous spine ailment
- No arthritis or spondylosis
