  1. Indian Navy conducted the ‘Naseem Al Bahr’ exercise with Oman-

‘Naseem Al Bahr’ exercise was conducted off the coast of Oman by navies of India and Oman. The missile guided by the Indian Navy stealth frigate, INS Trikand, offshore patrol vessel, INS Sumitra, and Maritime Patrol Aircraft, (MPA) Dornier, participated in the 13th Edition of the exercise.

 

  1. Union Ministry of Education presented the ‘National Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar 2021-22’-

The Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar for the 2021–22 academic year was announced by the Union Ministry of Education to 39 schools from across the country.

 

  1. ‘World Day for Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence’ was observed on November 18-

The first World Day for Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence was observed on November 18. It recommends awareness about the need to prevent exploitation offline and online and for survivors to have access to justice, eliminate stigma, affirm dignity and promote their rights.

 

  1. The ‘International Drought Resilience Alliance (IDRA)’ was launched this November 2022-

The ‘International Drought Resilience Alliance (IDRA)’ was launched by 30 countries and 20 global organisations led by Spain and Senegal. The alliance is counted upon as a specific solution for the United Nations to the impacts of climate change, as the participants would help each other to be better prepared for future droughts.

 

  1. Punjab ordered complete ban on public display of weapons and songs glorifying violence-

A complete ban was ordered in Punjab by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on public display of weapons and songs glorifying any kind of violence. A complete ban to be imposed on carrying or showing off weapons in public gatherings, religious places, functions or other events as directed by in the order.

 

  1. India launched the ‘In our LiFEtime’ campaign in the COP-27 summit-

The ‘In Our LiFEtime’ campaign was launched by India’s Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), at a side event of the COP 27 at Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt. The campaign launched by India aims to encourage youth to become message bearers of sustainable lifestyle. The concept of LiFE was introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at COP 26 in Glasgow in November 2021.

 

  1. ‘YUDH ABHYAS 22’ was conducted between India and USA-

India-US joint training exercise -Yudh Abhyas 22’s 18th edition was scheduled to be conducted in Uttarakhand in November 2022. The joint exercise will also focus on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations. The aim of exchanging best practices and tactics between the armies of two countries is what stems the interest of this annual exercise.
