Indian Naval Ships Satpura and Delhi on May 1st, 2023, led by Real Admiral Gurcharan Singh, the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet, arrived in Singapore to participate in the inaugural ASEAN India Maritime Exercise (AIME-2023). The exercise is scheduled to take place from May 2nd to May 8th, 2023.

 

  • India’s first female Rafale pilot, part of Exercise in France

Shivangi Singh being the first woman pilot to fly the Rafale fighter aircraft is a trailblazer in the Indian Air Force. Her achievements do not end there, as she is also part of the IAF team set to participate in the multinational Exercise Orion in France. This is an opportunity for Shivangi to further cement her place in history by demonstrating her skills in flying the multi-role air dominance aircraft.

 

  • President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu confers 37 Gallantry Awards

President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, who is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, awarded 8 Kirti Chakras and 29 Shaurya Chakras to personnel of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, and State/Union Territory Police. Five of the Kirti Chakras and five of the Shaurya Chakras were awarded posthumously. The gallantry awards were presented to individuals who demonstrated outstanding bravery, unwavering courage, and exceptional devotion to their duties. The names of the awardees were listed in the order in which they were presented with their respective awards.

  • The Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched UDAN 5.1

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched UDAN 5.1 after four successful rounds of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) – Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) and with version 5.0 of the fifth round underway, to further enhance the connectivity to remote areas of the country and achieve last mile connectivity through helicopters.

 

  • Union Health Ministry launched SAKSHAM- Learning Management Information System

The Learning Management Information System (LMIS) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) called SAKSHAM (Stimulating Advanced Knowledge for Sustainable Health Management) was launched by the Union Health Secretary. The digital platform was created by the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW) in New Delhi.

According to a recent statement by the State government of Uttar Pradesh, the Urban Development Department, and Lucknow Smart City have collaborated to launch a pilot project called the “School Health Program” in Lucknow. The program aims to improve the health of students and has been implemented in three schools as a part of the pilot project.

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways has launched the ‘Harit Sagar’ Green Port Guidelines 2023 to achieve its vision of zero carbon emissions. The guidelines were launched by Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, and AYUSH, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, in the presence of other senior officials of the ministry in New Delhi. The guidelines aim to align with the ‘Working with Nature’ concept, minimize the impact on the biotic components of harbor ecosystems, and promote the use of clean/green energy in port operations.
