Yoga Mohotsav will be organised in Dibrugarh, Assam.

  • On the eve of 75 days to International Day of Yoga, 2023 “Yoga Mahotsav” is to be held on 7th April at the Dibrugarh, Assam tomorrow.

Indian Navy, Indian Airforce, Indian Army and Indian Coast Guard have conducted a joint military exercise ‘KAVACH’ in Andaman and Nicobar.

  • This KAVACH Military Exercise involved Combat Free Fall and ground-based maneuvers.
  • The main aim of this exercise was to test jointness and interoperability among the special forces.
  • Indian Army’s Shatrujeet Brigade participated in this joint military exercise.

The Ministry of Housing has set up a committee to complete stalled real estate projects.

  • This committee will comprise 14 members and it will be headed by Amitabh Kant who is the former CEO of Niti Ayog.

The government is going to set up 10 nuclear plants in different states.

  • The 10 reactors will come up in Karnataka, Haryana Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
  • Installed nuclear power capacity is set to increase from 6780 MW to 22480 MW.

The government is going to add 250 GW of renewable energy in the next five years.

  • The Central government has outlined a plan to add 250 GW of renewable energy capacity in the next five years to achieve its target of 500 GW of clean energy by 2030. It will invite bids for 50 GW of renewable energy capacity annually till FY28, for this purpose.

Iran and UAE have established Diplomatic relations after many years.

  • It has been more than six years since the Gulf Arab state downgraded ties with Iran after Saudi diplomatic missions were attacked by protesters.
  • Iran has recently established Diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia also.

Reserve Bank of India has not changed its policy rate in the monetary policy committee meeting.

Phonepe launches e-commerce app ‘Pincode’ on ONDC Network.

  • Open Network for Digital Commerce, abbreviated ONDC, is a private non-profit Section 8 company established by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade of the Government of India to develop open e-commerce.

Public Sector Banks have transferred 35,012 Crore Rupees of Unclaimed Deposits to RBI.

  • Any deposit that lies in the account in dormant condition for 10 years is declared as unclaimed.
  • This money is transferred to RBI for better use.

Kalikesh Singh has been appointed as President of the National Rifle Association.

  • Kalikesh N Singh Deo has taken over as president of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI). The governing body of the NRAI on Thursday unanimously approved the elevation of its senior vice-president Kalikesh N Singh Deo after being informed that President Raninder Singh has gone on a long leave.

Argentina has become the top team in FIFA Ranking.

  • Argentina has claimed this position after 6 years.
  • India’s FIFA Ranking is 101st.

New Zealand’s Tim Cotton has become the first female umpire in the men’s T20 Match.

  • During the second T20I match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand in Dunedin, Kim Cotton became the first woman to serve as an on-field umpire in a men's international match.
