Wing Commander Deepika Misra is the first IAF woman officer to receive a gallantry award.

• Wing Commander Deepika Misra has made history as the first female Air Force officer to receive a gallantry medal.
• She was awarded Vayu Sena Medal for Disaster Rescue Mission in Madhya Pradesh in which she rescued 47 people.

Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited completes Asia's largest underwater hydrocarbon pipeline below the river Brahmaputra connecting Jorhat and Majuli in Assam.

• The Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) has completed the largest underwater hydrocarbon pipeline in Asia (24-inch diameter and above), which is also the second longest in the world and connects the river island Majuli with Jorhat in Assam.

Arunachal Pradesh to get 4G connectivity after govt. set up 254 mobile towers in 336 border villages.

• The government has approved the construction of 2,605 4G mobile towers for providing connectivity to more than 3,721 villages in Arunachal Pradesh with a total outlay of Rs 2,675 crore.

Govt launches UDAN 5.0.

• Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) is a regional airport development program of the Government of India and part of the Regional Connectivity Scheme of upgrading under-serviced air routes.
• The viability gap funding (VGF) will be capped at 600 kilometers of stage length for both priority and non-priority areas, which was earlier capped at 500 kilometers. Only network and individual route proposals by airlines will be considered under this scheme.

India ranks 38 in World Bank’s Logistic Performance Index.

• India has made a significant leap on the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index, moving up six places to 38th out of 139 countries in the 2023 ranking.

Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to open a first overseas office in Abu Dhabi.

• The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has recently signed an agreement to create its first Interim Operational Hub in Abu Dhabi Global Market.
• AIIB is a multilateral development bank that was established in 2016 with the goal of financing infrastructure projects in Asia and beyond.
• The bank is headquartered in Beijing, China, and has over 100 member countries, including several major economies such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia.

City Union Bank becomes the first bank in India to offer Voice Biometric Authentication App.

• Customers can now use voice biometric authentication for logging into their app.

K.L. Rahul becomes the fastest Indian to 7,000 runs in T20 cricket in 197 innings, surpassing Virat Kohli (212).

• Rahul on April 22 achieved the feat of becoming the fastest Indian batsman to score 7000 runs in T20 cricket. Before Rahul, Virat Kohli had achieved this milestone in his 212th innings during a T20I against New Zealand in Rajkot back in November 2017.

Kenya’s Kiptum Wins London Marathon in 2nd Fastest Time.

• Kelvin Kiptum, a 23-year-old Kenyan athlete, collapsed to the ground after achieving victory in the London Marathon and posting the second-best time in history for the distance.
