G-20 Labour Summit held in Bihar.

• The L-20 summit (G-20 Labour Summit) was held in Patna, Bihar on June 21, the topics of 'Universal Social Security' and 'Women and the Future of Work' were discussed during the meeting.

Indian Army conducts exercise Agneyastra in eastern Ladakh.

• The Indian Army has concluded a massive military exercise — Agneyastra 1 — in eastern Ladakh.
• The exercise witnessed the deployment of IdeaForge's indigenous 'Switch' unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

India ranks 127th in the Global Gender Gap Index.

• India has climbed 8 places in Gender Gap Index and reached 127th rank.
• India has closed 64.3% of the overall gender gap. The global gender gap score in 2023 for all 146 countries stands at 68.4% reflecting an improvement of 0.3%.
• Iceland has been ranked 1st with a score of 0.643.

Catlin Predoiu has been appointed as the Prime Minister of Romania.

• Former Justice Catlin Predoiu has been appointed as the Prime Minister of Romania by the President of Romania after signing a decree.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-nation visit.

                     PM Modi’s Visit to the USA

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to a state dinner at the white house. This is a very prestigious moment for India because only two other prime ministers of India i.e. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Indira Gandhi been invited to the state dinner at the white house.
• During this visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to meet with many dignitaries and industry leaders such as Elon Musk.
• During this visit, Narendra Modi will address the US Congress for the 2nd time. Narendra Modi has become the only Indian Leader to address the US Congress two times.
• After this visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a state visit to Egypt.

Finland's parliament elects Petteri Orpo as the country's new PM.

• Petteri Orpo, the leader of the conservative party in Finland, has been elected as the country's prime minister by the parliament.

Competition Commission of India approves the merger of HDFC Life Insurance and HDFC ERGO Insurance.

• The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday approved the acquisition of additional shareholding of HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited by Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited.

Hashmukh Adhia has been appointed as Chairman of Gift City.

• Former Union Finance Secretary and retired Gujarat cadre bureaucrat, Hasmukh Adhia, has been appointed as chairman of GIFT (Gujarat International Finance Tec) City, and
• He has been appointed Chairman and Director of the Vadodara-based Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) also.

• India defeated Pakistan in South Asia Football Federation Championship by 4-0.

French Football Player N'Golo Kanté will join the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

• As a midfielder N'Golo Kanté played for  Chelsea and went on to win the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
