Government establishes the Accelerated Corporate Exit Processing Centre.

• Government establishes the Accelerated Corporate Exit Processing Centre: Ministry of Corporate Affairs has taken a significant step towards making the process of striking off defunct companies easier and more efficient.

The President has reshuffled the Cabinet at the request of the Prime Minister.

• Existing Law Minister Kiren Rijiju has been appointed as Minister of Earth Sciences.
• Shri Arjun Ram Meghval has been appointed as Minister of Law and Justice.

Indian Navy’s Kalvari class submarine INS Vagsheer has made a sea sortie.

• The sixth submarine of Project 75, Indian Navy’s Kalvari class commenced her sea trials.
•  The Vagsheer submarine was launched on 20 Apr 22 from the Kanhoji Angre Wet Basin of Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL).
• Vaghsheer is scheduled for Delivery to the Indian Navy in early 2024 after the completion of these trials.

Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying Parshottam Rupala launches Phase V of Sagar Parikrama.

• Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying Parshottam Rupala today led the fifth phase of the Sagar Parikrama Programme.
• The main objectives of the program are to disseminate information about various fisheries-related schemes and programs, promoting responsible fisheries with a focus on sustainable balance, and protection of marine ecosystems.

Nepali Climber Kami Rita Makes Record, Climbs Mount Everest For 27th Time

• Kami Rita, Nepali Climber made a record by climbing for the 27th time.
• The 53-year-old had held the title since 2018, when he ascended Everest for the 22nd time, passing the previous mark.

The Arab League Summit is being organized in Saudi Arabia.

• The 2023 Arab League Summit is a meeting of heads of state and government of member states of the League of Arab States that will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on 19 May 2023.

The profit of the State Bank of India increases by 83%.
