Arunachal Pradesh CM inaugurates Shar Nyima Tsho Sum Namyig Lhakhang.

• The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, inaugurated the newly renovated Shar Nyima Tsho Sum Namyig Lhakhang (Gonpa) at Gyangkhar, in the Tawang district.

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj celebrates National Panchayat Awards Week.

• The Ministry of Panchayati Raj celebrates National Panchayat Awards Week from 17th to 21st April 2023, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) 2.0, leading up to National Panchayati Raj Day.
• The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has developed a series of Thematic Conferences centred around the theme “Panchayat ka Sankalp ki Siddhi ka Utsav” to increase the reach of AKAM 2.0 and positively impact the lives of all Indians.

Nepal becomes a founding member of the International Big Cats Alliance.

• Nepal has become a founding member of the International Big Cats Alliance. During the launch of the alliance under India’s initiative, Minister for Energy Shakti Bahadur Basnet handed over the letter.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar inaugurates Buzi Bridge in Mozambique.

• the Buzi Bridge which is a part of the 132 km Tica-Buzi-Nova-Sofala Road project. The bridge has been constructed by India.

• According to reports, Syria has now become the world's largest narco-state, with the majority of its foreign currency earnings coming from the production and export of Captagon.

ESA (European Space Agency) has launched the JUICE Mission to study the Icy Moons of Jupiters.

• The European Space Agency has launched the JUICE (Jupiter Icy Moon Explorer) Mission to study Jupiter.
• This mission was launched using Ariane 5 Rockets.

G-7 Countries have agreed to move to Carbon-Free Power by 2035.

• Climate Energy Ministers and Envoys from Group-7 or G-20 Countries have agreed to cut their carbon production to zero from electricity production.

What is G-7 or Group of 7?

• The G7 is an informal grouping of seven of the world's advanced economies, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as the European Union.

Kenya has launched its first operational satellite.

• Kenya has launched its first operational satellite Taifa-1 in space.
• This Rocket was launched using SpaceEx Falcon 9 Rockets.

UAE is India’s second-largest export destination and third-largest source of imports.

• The UAE remains the second most significant export destination for India. The US and UAE held onto their first and second positions, respectively, during the financial year 2022-23.

Raj Subramanian has been honoured with the Pravasi Bhartiya Samman.

• Raj Subramanian is an Indian American CEO of FedEx.
• Pravasi Bhartiya Samman is the highest civilian honour given to any person of Indian origin.

• During a match between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans at IS Bindra Stadium, Kagiso Rabada achieved a significant milestone by taking his 100th wicket in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Aman Sehrawat wins India’s 1st Gold Medal Asian Wrestling Championship.

• Aman Sehrawat, a freestyle wrestler, won India’s 1st gold medal, under the men’s 57kg freestyle category, at the Asian Wrestling Championships 2023.36th edition of Asian Wrestling Championships.
