• Silvio Berlusconi, former Italian prime minister who transformed the nation's politics with polarizing policies, died on Monday aged 86.

The unemployment rate fell to 7.7% in May.

• According to the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, the Unemployment rate fell to 7.7% in the month of May.
• Unemployment fell to this level in the Indian Economy because 441.7 Jobs were created in the month of May.

The world bank has approved a loan of USD 145 million to West Bengal.

• A loan of USD 145 million was approved by the World Bank to West Bengal for irrigation projects.
• West Bengal is implementing the Accelerated Development of Micro Irrigation Project.

Retail Inflation has come down to 4.25%.

• According to Data released by the Reserve Bank of India, Retail Inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index has come down to 4.25%.
