The government has given GI Tag to two products of Odisha.

• The handwoven Rayagada Shawls crafted by the Dongria Kondhs of Odisha are poised to receive a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, while Koraput Kalajeera Rice has been granted the esteemed GI tag.

The Uttar Pradesh Government is going to host the International Trade Show.

• President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate Uttar Pradesh’s First Trade Show at the India Expo on 21st September.

Indore has topped the Clean Air Survey.

• Union Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav announced awards under the Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan 2023 (clean air survey) in Bhopal, with Indore in Madhya Pradesh clinching the top rank in the million-plus population cities.

Uttar Prader Government will release a dictionary of regional dialectics.

• Uttar Pradesh Institute of Education has released a dictionary of regional dialectics containing 76,000 words.

The 20th ASEAN- India Summit has taken place in Jakarta.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has participated in the 20th India-ASEAN Summit and released statements on food security and nutrition.

• ASEAN, officially an abbreviation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, is a political and economic union of 10 member states in Southeast Asia.

Rupee reached an all-time low against the US Dollar.

• The value of the rupee in the foreign exchange market was lowered by 9 paise and due to this downfall, Rupee reached an all-time low at 83.22 against US Dollar.
