The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has merged Project Tiger and Project Elephant.

• The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has merged Project Tiger and Project Elephant into one division known as Project Tiger and Elephant (PT&E) Division.
• Project Tiger and Elephant (PT&E) would be headed by an additional director general of forest (ADGF)-rank officer. The in-charge of Project Tiger and Elephant Division would be known as ADGF (PT&E).
