Indian Navy and French Navy conducted joint military exercise.

• In-Fn Maritime Partnership Exercise was conducted in the Bay of Bengal between the Indian Navy and French Navy.
• Indian Navy was represented by INS Sumedha and INS Rana.
• French Navy was represented by FS Surcouf.

India has launched sickle cell anaemia elimination mission.

• India has launched national sickle cell anaemia elimination mission as a part of National Health Mission.
• This mission was launched in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh to eliminate Sickle Cell Anaemia from India by 2047.

Indian Navy and Indian Coastguard are going to set Maritime Heritage Complex in Gandhinagar, Gujrat.

• A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Indian Coast Guard & Indian Navy with Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation Ltd for construction of  National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) in Gandhinagar.
• National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) is being constructed at the historic Indus Valley civilization region of Lothal (Gujarat).

Home Minister Amit Shah launched ‘Akshar River Cruise’.

• Home Minister Amit Shah has launched made in India  ‘Akshar River Cruise’ on Sabarmati River Front.

Government is going to change Combat Uniform of CRPF.

• Government has decided to change the uniform of CRPF Personnels.
• This decision was taken after a decade to provide comfort during operations.
• However, Uniform of COBRA Commandos and RAF (Rapid Action Force) will remain same.

The leaders summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation is going to take place today.

• India will host the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in a virtual format today.
• The summit will see participation from President Xi Jinping of China, President Putin and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan along with the leaders of a number of central Asian countries.

Government of India reduces GST rate on electronics item.

• The Union Finance Ministry recently announced a reduction in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for electronic items on the sixth anniversary of the GST implementation on July 1.
