PM Modi lays foundation stone of FM relay station at Dahod
Ministry of Tourism organised the Global Launch of ‘Travel for LIFE’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the foundation stone for Akashvani Dahod FM Relay Station Project in Gujarat.

The FM Relay Station will cover approximately a 55 km radius area, encompassing approximately 75% of the tribal district of Dahod.

The transmitter will partially cover the neighbouring tribal districts of Madhya Pradesh, including Alirajpur and Jhabua.

The Ministry of Tourism launched the Travel for LIFE program in partnership with UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

It aims to promote sustainable tourism by encouraging tourists to take simple actions for the conservation of the environment.

It has two verticals: Travel for LIFE for Cleanliness and Travel for LIFE for Rural Tourism.
