Conduct of the first MotoGP Bharat Event

• The Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) witnessed the first MotoGP Bharat event in India.

• In fact, it is the first edition of MotoGP Bharat that India is hosting.

• Indian Oil is the title sponsor of the first edition of Moto GP Bharat.

India's first Gold Medal in the Asian Games 2023

• The Men's 10m Air Rifle Team of India has won the first gold medal for the nation in the Asian Games 2023.

• The Men's 10m Air Rifle Team of India consisted of Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar.

• The Asian Games 2023 (originally scheduled to be held in 2022) is a continental multi-sport event currently being held from 23 September to 8 October 2023 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.

• The Asian Games 2023 is the 19th Asian Games and the motto of the event is “Heart to Heart, @Future”

Inauguration of Bharat Drone Shakti Exhibition

• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the ‘Bharat Drone Shakti-2023’ exhibition at Hindon in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh.

• The event witnessed the induction of the C-295 transport aircraft into the Indian Air Force.

• The Indian Air Force and Drone Federation of India are the co-hosts of the event.

Goa witnesses the first ever Indian Lighthouse Festival at Aguada Fort

• Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, inaugurated the first ever Indian Lighthouse Festival at Aguada Fort in Goa.

• Indian Lighthouse Festival, or Bharatiya Prakash Stambh Utsav, aims to transform historic lighthouses into tourist hotspots.

• It is also being held to celebrate lighthouses, which are an essential part of maritime navigation.

20th Edition of National Book Fair in Lucknow

• Lucknow witnesses the 20th edition of National Book Fair, held on the theme of 'Gyan Kumbh'.

• The 11-day book festival will include various events like book launch, programs of youth and children and meeting authors.

• Publishers and distributors of English, Hindi and Urdu languages along with government social and religious organizations are taking part in the book fair.

• The I2U2 group, which comprises India, Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the United States, announced an ambitious joint space venture.

• The collaborative announcement by the I2U2 group aims to create a space-based tool with wide-ranging applications for policymakers, institutions, and entrepreneurs.

• The I2U2 Group is a grouping of India, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States for effective cooperation on joint investments and new initiatives in transportation, water, space, energy, health, and food security.
