• The total number of Jan Dhan accounts in India has surpassed 50 crore within less than 9 years, with 56% owned by women and 67% opened in rural areas.

State Bank of India has appointed four directors.

• SBI has appointed Ketan Shivji Vikamsey and Mrugank Madhukar Paranjape to its board and has added Rajesh Kumar Dubey and Dharmendra Singh Shekhawat as directors.
