Chairman of Rajya Sabha Jagdeep Dhankar has nominated four women to the panel of Rajya Sabha.

• The Members of Parliament appointed are PT Usha who was nominated to Rajya Sabha in 2022 and is a member of the Committee on Defence, Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Committee on Ethics; Phangnon Konyak, Fauziya Khan who belongs to the NCP and Sulata Deo is from Biju Janta Dal.

Rajasthan has become the first state to introduce a bill on Gig workers 2023.

• The Rajasthan assembly passed a bill for the welfare of gig workers and freelancers.

CSIR IIMR has started India's first cannabis medicine project.

• The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine has started India’s first cannabis medicine project.
• This is the first Institute to get a license for the cultivation of cannabis.

Tamil Nadu’s Authoor Betel Leaves get GI Tag.

• The Tamil Nadu State Agriculture Marketing Board and NABARD Madurai Agribusiness Incubation Forum have awarded a Geographical Indication (GI) certificate to the Author betel leaves from Thoothukudi district in Tamil Nadu.
•  The certificate is granted in the name of Authoor Vattara Vetrilai Vivasayigal Sangam.

Skyroot tests Raman-2 Engine.

• Indian Private Space Company Skyroot has tested Skyroot's Raman-II engine, which was designed to generate 820 Newton (Sea Level).

Italy Honors Indian Army contribution in Second World War.

• “The “V.C Yeshwant Ghadge Sundial Memorial” was jointly unveiled by the Commune of Monotone in Italy and Italian military historians at Montone, Perugia, Italy.
• This memorial stands as a tribute to the valor and sacrifices of the Indian troops who fought in the Italian Campaign during the Second World War.
