Indian Army Invites Application for Army Dental Corps 2022
Indian Army invites online application from eligible male and female candidates for grant of Short Service Commission in the Army Dental Corps 2022. A total of 30 vacancies have been notified on the official website of the Indian Army which includes 27 vacant posts for male and 3 vacancies for female applicants. Eligibility Criteria for Army Dental Corps 2022 Recruitment
Educational Qualification

Only those candidates who have ticked ‘YES’ for Service Commission in the Army Dental Corps option while filling the NEET (MDS)-2022 application form can apply.

Candidates must be BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) with minimum 55% marks passed from a College/University recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI).

He/she should have completed a one-year Compulsory Rotatory Internship, as mandated by DCI and must be in possession of Permanent Dental Registration Certificate valid at least up to 31 December 2022.

Candidates must have appeared in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, NEET (MDS)-2022 conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi.

At the time of filling the online application form, candidates must submit the copy of the Mark-sheet or Score card of NEET (MDS)-2022 along with the application form.
Age Limit
The candidate applying for the Short Service Commission in the Army Dental Corps 2022 must not have attained 45 yrs of age as on 31 Dec 2022.

Selection Procedure

Screening for Interview:
Candidates are shortlisted for interview on the basis of the marks scored in the National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test, NEET (MDS)-2022 conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi, under the aegis of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The list formulated will be utilized for screening of candidates in the ratio of 1:10 to be called for interview, i.e. for each advertised vacancy ten candidates will be called for interview.

Interview:
Shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for interview before a duly constituted Selection Board, at New Delhi to assess their suitability & merit for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Army Dental Corps. The final merit list for Grant of SSC in Army Dental Corps will be based on the performance in the interview alone. The candidates who qualify in the interview will be subjected to Medical Examination.

Medical Examination:
Every candidate, who qualifies the interview will have to mandatorily undergo a Medical Examination by a duly constituted Medical Board of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) for ascertaining his/her medical fitness as per laid down medical standards for commissioning. Only those candidates, who are declared medically fit, will be eligible for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Army Dental Corps.
Training
After commissioning, the candidates will be detailed for training at Govt. expenses at the Army Medical Corps (AMC) Center & School Lucknow. Army Dental Corps Short Service Commission (SSC) is firmly regulated by Government of India, Ministry of Defence regulations and revisions accordingly. The Office of the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) oversees the Commission as well as any subsequent training in compliance with the laws currently in effect.
