UPSC CDS-1 2020 SSB Interview Dates for IMA, AFA, INA and OTA
CDS Selection Process comprises of two stages- Written test and SSB Interview. In the first stage (written exam), candidates have to attempt three papers for IMA, INA and AFA, whereas for OTA they have to attempt for only 2 papers. In the second stage of selection, they have to appear for an Interview which will test their intelligence, personality and psychological aptitude. In order to be eligible for CDS 2020, the candidate has to qualify both stage 1 and stage 2. UPSC will reveal the cut offs for the CDS I 2020 examination soon after the result is announced. Candidates who clear the minimum required marks will be eligible to participate in the further CDS Interview 2020.
The second stage of CDS Interview 2020 takes 5 days to get completed which involves intense scrutinization of candidates covering all the major aspects of the overall personality. Candidates are judged physically, mentally and psychologically as well. However, before undergoing the 4-day process (stage 2), candidates must appear for stage 1 tests. The Officer Intelligence Rating & PPDT is a 1-day program. Candidates are scrutinized for their verbal and non-verbal abilities. CDS-1 2020 IMA SSB Interview Dates
- - Candidates who qualify in the written exam and given their first choice as Army (IMA/OTA) are required to register themselves on the recruiting directorate website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in in order to enable them to receive a call up information for SSB interview. Those candidates who have already registered on the official website are advised not to register again.
- - IMA candidates will get the CDS 1 2020 SSB dates first. OTA SSB dates take time as it happens after IMA SSB interview.
- - As mentioned above, you need to register online and all details regarding IMA CDS 1 2020 SSB dates will be put on the official website of the Indian Army. IMA SSB may start from April – May 2020 onwards and candidates are required to select the SSB dates as an when it is live.
CDS-1 2020 AFA SSB Interview Dates
Candidates will get the AFSB interview details of CDS 1 2020 on afcat.cdac and official career website of the Indian Air Force. AFSB may start from April – May 2020. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad—(Pre-Flying) 32 Training Course will be commencing in January, 2021.
CDS-1 2020 OTA SSB Dates
- - IMA candidates will get the CDS 1 2020 SSB dates first. OTA SSB dates take time as it happens after IMA SSB interview.
- - As mentioned above, you need to register online and all details regarding IMA CDS 1 2020 SSB dates will be put on the official website of the Indian Army. IMA SSB may start from Dec-Jan onwards and candidates are required to select the SSB dates as an when it is live. Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras)— 113th SSC (Men) Course (NT). Officers Training Academy, Chennai—27th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April 2021.
CDS 2020: Day wise Interview Schedule
Day 1- Reporting, Filling of forms, Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT).
Day 2- Psychological Test- This includes TAT (Thematic Appreciation Test), WAT (Word Association Test), SRT (Situation Reaction Test). SD(Self- Description).
Day 3- The most important leg of CDS Interview is Group Tasks wherein candidates have to prove their physical as well as mental prowess. Also, Officer Like Qualities are judged on the basis of these tasks. The tasks allotted to candidates include Group Discussion, Military Planning Exercise, Progressive Group Task, Group Obstacle Race, Half Group Task.
Day 4- Individual Obstacle Task (IOT), Command Task, Final Group Task (FGT), Personal Interview and Individual Lecturette.
Day 5- Conference and Document Verification.
What after CDS Interview 2020?
After the interview process of CDS 2020 is completed, candidate’s verification takes place which includes the document verification. Candidates who qualify the interview will have to present their required set of original documents along with the 2 self-attested copies at SSC (Services Selection Center) after interview. Given below is the list of documents that are to be carried at the time of selection process.
Original certificates will be returned after the verification. Certified true copies or Photostat copies of the certificates will not be accepted in any case.
- - Qualification Certificates.
- - Proof of Identity (Pan Card, Aadhar Card, Voter ID etc.).
- - Birth Certificate.
- - Passport Size Photographs.
- - Category Certificate for the Reserved Category Candidates.
- - Proof of Residence.
Finally Medical Examination is the last but very important step and rather the trump card that necessitates and confirms the selection of the candidate. This step is held to verify that the selected aspirant is physically fit for the officer cadre or not. This verification is must.
