The National Defence Academy (NDA) witnessed another historic Passing Out Parade (POP) for the 147th course, attended by as many as 1,265 cadets. Among these, 357 were from the passing-out course, representing 215 cadets from the Army, 104 from the Air Force, and 38 from the Navy.
Highlighting its international outreach, the batch included 19 cadets from friendly nations, such as Bhutan, Bangladesh, Kenya, Zambia, and Malaysia, who will now join their respective pre-commissioning academies.
Female Cadets Leading the Way
A contingent of 47 female cadets, currently in their third, fourth, and fifth terms, also participated in the parade, reflecting NDA's progressive step towards gender inclusivity.
Honors and Recognition
During the event, individual excellence and teamwork were celebrated. Cadet Ankit won the prestigious President’s Gold Medal for standing first in the Overall Order of Merit. Cadet Yuvraj Singh Chauhan won the Silver Medal, and Cadet Jodha Thongiaoma secured the Bronze Medal. The Golf Squadron was awarded the Chiefs of Staff Banner for being the Champion Squadron.
