Defence Expo 2022
From October 18 to October 22, 2022, Gandhinagar, Gujarat will host the Defence Expo 2022 (DefExpo 2022). The expo's theme this year is "Path to Pride," which attempts to inspire a sense of patriotism and encourage people to take part in nation-building by developing a strong homegrown defence industry. To promote the export potential of the Indian defence sector, the Defence Exhibition Organization, an independent agency of the Indian Government founded in 1981, is in charge of staging international exhibits like DEFEXPO. Major Highlights of Defence Expo 2022

The Ministry of Defence's flagship biennial exhibition, DefExpo2022, will take place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, from October 18–22, 2022. Its purpose is to advance the idea of "Make in India, Make for the World."

The 12th edition of Asia's biggest defence exhibition will concentrate on the theme "Path to Pride" in promotion of "India at 75" and "Aatmanirbhar Bharat," inspiring both the private sector and the general public to become involved and contribute to nation-building.

The overall exhibition will feature a variety of indigenous technology and systems for homeland security, the military, and the air and land forces.

Defence Expo 2020 was previously held from February 5–8, 2020, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The defence exhibition was being held in the northern state for the first time to investigate opportunities for defence production. To draw investments in defence production, the Ministry of Defense has already launched the Uttar Pradesh Defense Corridor.
DRDO’s Showcase at Defence Expo 2022
Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) will celebrate DefExp2022, which will take place over three venues, including the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre, Helipad Exhibition Centre, and Sabarmati River Front, and feature a wide variety of static showcases, live demonstrations, seminars, and immersive experience zones. At DefExpo 2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the DRDO will exhibit a vast array of 430 items, including strategic and tactical weapon systems, defence gear, and technology.
The 3D (DRDO, Designed and Developed) ecosphere will be the main focus of this year's DRDO participation, which will demonstrate its strong ties to both academia and industry. Additionally, it will demonstrate the technological achievements made recently by its laboratories and cooperation with the industry, while demonstrating a high degree of indigenousness in cutting-edge and future defence products and technologies that support Aatmanirbharta in Defence.
