1002 Girls Cleared NDA 2 2021 Written Exam

Since the inception of the National Defence Academy in 1954, it was the very first time when female aspirants participated in the NDA Written Exam. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the NDA 2 2021 written results on its official website on 15th December 2021. The exam was held on 14th November 2021 with the entry of female aspirants taking part in the national-level exam for the very first time. As per the media reports based on the list of the written qualified candidates, a total of 1002 female aspirants have cleared the NDA 2 2021 written exam out of the 8000+ qualified candidates. Let us explore more about the entry of women in the National Defence Academy. 

• The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) held the NDA & NA Exam on 14th November 2021 for both male & female Candidates. 

• Nearly 570,000 applicants had applied for the NDA 2 2021 written exam and out of these applicants, the number of female aspirants was around 178,000.

• As per the results announced on 15th December 2021, around 8000+ candidates have qualified for the SSB Interview by clearing the NDA written exam.

• A total of 1002 female aspirants have cleared the NDA 2 2021 written exam out of the 8000+ qualified candidates. 

• A total of 400 vacancies have recently been announced by the UPSC through an addendum on its official website.  

What Next After the Declaration of NDA 2 2021 Written Results? 

The written exam was held by the UPSC for the NDA 148th Course and for the 110th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd July 2022. The NDA selection process is comprehensive and consists of a written test, SSB Interview and medical examination. Candidates who have cleared the written exam will now be called for an extensive interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). They will now have to clear a personality and intelligence assessment and physical and medical tests before being admitted into the NDA. Those candidates who will qualify the NDA selection process successfully will be commissioned in the Indian Armed Forces, i.e., Army, Navy, and Air Force after completing their training at NDA and respective service academies.
