This special Naval orientation course by the Indian Navy for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Information Technology branch will begin at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Navy SSC IT Branch Eligibility Criteria 2022

Educational Qualification: A candidate must have secured at least 60% marks in BE/B.Tech course in any of the streams mentioned below.

• Computer Science

• Computer Science & Engineering

• Computer Engineering

• Information Technology

• Software Systems 

• Cyber Security

• System Administration & Networking 

• Computer System & Networking 

• Data Analytics 

• Artificial Intelligence

Age Limit: A candidate must be born between 2nd July 1997 and 1st January 2003. 

Additional Notes for Candidates:

• There are a total of 50 vacant posts notified by the Indian Navy which are to be fulfilled by recruiting eligible male and female aspirants.

• There will be no entrance exam and candidates will be shortlisted for SSB based on their marks in the qualifying exam.

• Candidates holding NCC “C” Certificate will be given a relaxation of 5% in cut-off marks at the time of shortlisting for SSB.

• The minimum required educational qualification in the qualifying degree is 60% at all stages right from the SSB to training at INA Ezhimala to post-commissioning.

Selection Process for Navy SSC IT Branch 2022

• First of all, online applications of the candidates will be shortlisted based on normalized marks obtained by them in the qualifying degree exam. 

• Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB Interview through email or SMS on the contact details provided by candidates.

• Candidates are advised to ascertain medical standards before applying for the Navy SSC IT Course 2022 as the medical examination is the next stage after SSB.

• The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates in the SSB Interview, and candidates declared fit in the medical exam will be appointed as per the vacancies.

• The recommended candidates will be appointed to the rank of Sub Lieutenant and they will undergo a 4 weeks Naval Orientation Course at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
