Union Public Service Commission has published Notification inviting applications for CDS-1 2024. CDS-1 2024 Exam will be conducted on 21st April 2024 by UPSC. CDS Exam is conducted twice a year for selecting candidates for Officers Training Academy, Indian Military Academy, Indian Air Force Academy and Indian Naval Academy. CDS-1 2024 exam will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, a written exam will be conducted and in the second stage, a five days SSB Interview will be conducted. CDS-1 2024 Exam, Important Dates and Other Details
CDS exam is a national level defence exam conducted by UPSC twice a year. Any graduate or appearing male or female candidate can apply for this exam. After qualifying this two stage exam, candidates are trained at Officers Training Academy, Indian Military Academy, Indian Air Force Academy and Indian Naval Academy for about 1 year and they are commissioned into the rank of Lieutenant or in equivalent ranks. Date of Calculating Age Limit for CDS-1 2024
For CDS-1 2024: Indian Military Academy (IMA)-2nd January 2001 to 1st January 2006. Indian Naval Academy (INA)-2nd January 2001 to 1st January 2006. Air Force Academy (AFA)-2nd January 2001 to 1st January 2005. Officers Training Academy OTA (Men)- 2nd January 2000 to 1st January 2006. Officers Training Academy OTA (Women)- 2nd January 2000 to 1st January 2006.
Nationality
The candidates must be unmarried male/female and should be:
a Citizen of India, or
a Subject of Bhutan, or
a Subject of Nepal, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Ans- UPSC will publish the Admit Card of CDS-1 2024 before one month of the CDS-1 2024 exam.

Q- Can appearing candidates apply for CDS-1 2024 Exam?
Ans- Yes, Candidates who are in their final year graduation course can apply for CDS-1 2024 exam.
Q- What is the dimension of photo and signature in the CDS-1 2024 application?
Ans- The size of the photograph must be less than 300 KB and greater than 40 KB and 140 pixels height x 110 pixels width is required for photography.
The pixel size of the signature should be 110 pixels height x 140 pixels width. The file size of the signature should not be greater than 40 kb.
