Indian Institute of Science gets the top ranking in THE Asia University Index 2023.

• According to Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Ranking 2023, the Indian Institute of Science is the top educational institute in India and 48th best in the overall institutes.
• Times Higher Education Asia University Ranking (2023) was topped by Tsinghua University, China.

Asian Development Bank approves $295 million for Bihar.

• Asian Development Bank has approved $295 million for the development of transportation in Bihar.
• This grant will help Bihar in widening highways, increasing road connectivity and improving quality of roads.

The Ministry of Agriculture launches the PM Kisan Mobile App.

• The PM-Kisan Mobile App with Face Authentication Feature was launched by Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar
• This app was launched under the central government's ambitious and popular scheme for income support to farmers "Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi".

Skyroot develops a Raman-1 engine.

• Skyroot Aerospace successfully conducted the flight qualification test of the Raman-I engine, intended for roll attitude control in the Vikram-I rocket.

Belgium and India sign a mutual legal assistance treaty.

• The Indian Government and the Government of Belgium have signed a mutual legal assistance treaty.
• This treaty will allow Indian authorities to implement their legal decisions.
• This treaty will particularly help in nabbing financial offenders.

• Meesho and National Payment Corporation of India have been featured in the 100 most influential companies in India in the ‘Pioneer’ category.

Micron to become the first company to produce semiconductors in India.

• US based Semiconductors producing Company Micron has become the first country to develop semiconductors in India.
• Micron will start producing semiconductors in India in December 2024.
